Project Topic - "Peeping! - Character Recognition in Movie Clips."
After a series of discussion, we decide to set our topic to "Peeping! - Character Recognition in Movie Clips."
Here is what we want to do:
Let the user browse through a movie clips, pause the movie and click on "Peeping!" button when he wants to know who is playing the character and the detail of the actor including his name, presonal profile, lastest gossip...etc.
Now we describe our rough idea to achieve the goal:
1. First we use the movie name to find out the cast of the movie.
2. We use the actors name to query images of the actors and actors information from internet.
3. We then use these image as training data to train a classifer.
4. We use the movie frame which the user pause at as the query.
Decide which actor's information the user need.
5. Finally, we return the actor's information to user!
